Friday flashback – Thoughts arrive like butterflies edition

This week back in 1991 the band Mookie Blaylock announced they, inspired by the extended jamming at a Neil Young concert, were changing their name to Pearl Jam.

Incidentally when asked where their name came from at the time Eddie Vedder was known to tell people he had an Aunt Pearl who married a Native American and had learned a kicking recipe for peyote jam.
